TRAVEL & LEISURE
International sales project to enter the European travel market
A sales project I have developed and refined through many years of international experience, travel and direct work with companies in different markets.
It is created for travel agencies and tour operators that want to develop new business in Europe, but the same approach can also be applied to many other international businesses.
Why Europe?
Europe is one of the world’s strongest outbound travel markets. In 2024, UK residents made about 94.6 million trips abroad, spending approximately US$106 billion.
Germany generated around 105 million international trips in 2025, while the Netherlands also remains one of Europe’s most active outbound markets.A strong part of this business still comes through traditional travel channels. My focus is on local travel agencies, agency networks, tour operators and group organizers across Europe. This is my target!
What European travel partners look for?
European agencies look for reliable partners, competitive rates, quality services, clear packages and professional communication. The strongest travel networks are concentrated in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, France and Spain. Germany has around 9,000 travel agencies and 2,300 tour operators;
in Italy, ASTOI tour operators work through a network of more than 8,500 travel agencies.
Well-known examples include TUI and DERTOUR in Germany, TUI, Corendon and Sunweb in the Netherlands, and Alpitour, Veratour and Nicolaus/Valtur in Italy. In the Netherlands alone, more than 5 million people booked with a tour operator over a three-year period.
The main barriers for international companies that want to do business in Europe:
The main barriers are lack of contacts in Europe, limited market knowledge and most of all >> different ways of doing business. Cultural differences, communication styles, understanding contracts and working methods between Europe, Asia and Latin America can make negotiations difficult. Without the right understanding and approach, it can be difficult to build trust and successfully do business together.
How I find the right European clients and solve these problems
- I start from your real tourism product:
your location, tours, activities, beach, services and the experiences you can offer. - Based on this, I identify the European tour operators, travel agencies and specialist partners that are the best match for your product and target market.
- I build and organize selected databases, prepare the commercial information for the sales team and study each potential partner in detail.
- Then I personally contact the right European agencies and tour operators, present your offer, support communication and help create a clear and professional working relationship.
- I also help your team understand European business methods, customer expectations and commercial culture, making negotiations easier and reducing misunderstandings between different markets.
- The goal is to create the right match between your tourism product and the right European partners, and turn this contact into real business.
How we start working together
I am not an agency and I don’t work as an external consultant. I join your company for a defined period, travelling to your country and working directly with your team to develop new business opportunities and sales in the European market.
- I am currently based in Italy, near Rome, and ready to travel internationally once a collaboration is agreed and the project is confirmed.
- We start with a video meeting to meet each other and understand your travel company, services and goals.
- I then prepare an initial overview of the opportunities I see for your business in Europe.
- If we decide to work together, I travel to your country and work directly from your office, hotel or resort, alongside your team.
- From there, we develop and start the sales project together, with a working period adapted to your goals — usually three months, six months or one year.
What you gain from my international sales project
Enter the European travel market
By entering the European market, your company gains access to large databases of new potential customers; tour operators, travel agencies and travel partners. These new partners increase your sales network, create more business opportunities and generate more bookings, sales and revenue.
Stand out from local competitors
You compete not only on price, but also on professionalism, organization and your ability to work directly with European partners.
Be ready for European partners
Your team develops a clearer method for communication, follow-up, offers, negotiations and partner management.
Improve your international image
Your company is presented as a serious international partner, not only as a local hotel, resort or tour operator.
Create a stronger sales system
You develop stronger sales procedures and a more organized way of managing European partners, making your team faster, more professional and more effective, **while improving sales performance and increasing revenue.**
Increase sales and become recommended
The goal is to increase bookings, sales and revenue through stronger European partnerships. Over time, satisfied agencies and tour operators can recommend your company to other partners, helping new European clients find and contact you directly.
